Michael Green spoke to our students about how a film is broken into 3 stages:

  1. Pre-production (including the idea, the script, the storyboard)
  2. Production (the actual filming)
  3. Post-production (editing, adding effects and soundtrack etc)

He suggested the pre-production should take 70% of the time…the more time spent on planning, the better the filming and editing should go.
